Charity for Children

Office Depot in Europe has set up its own foundation, under the name "Office Depot Charity For Children", which is aimed at providing financial and/or material support for charities and projects for children throughout Europe.

Office Depot is proud of its long term commitment to making the world a better place to live through implementing socially responsible policies in all the communities in which it is active.

Since its foundation in Europe in 1990, Office Depot/Viking has supported various charities each year. Last year, for example, it financed projects for UNICEF, War child, Ronald McDonald, Red Cross and BBC Children in Need among others. In addition, Office Depot supports many associations and organisations with gifts and product sponsoring. Office Depot donates more than 10 million USD annually to various institutions worldwide.

Office Depot Charity for Children will organise various events every year to collect money for local, national and international charities. In addition the fund will be supplemented by Office Depot.

Office Depot strongly believes in giving back to the communities in which we live and work by supporting our future: Children. Our mission is simple ... contribute to the quality of our children's lives, their education, their health and their welfare.

Other activities

Office Depot has provided support to various people and organizations in need following a natural disaster. In the case of a calamity, money has been raised by employees to help the people of the affected region, and this has been doubled by the company.

Furthermore Office Depot contributes to a major cartridge recycling program. Our operations provide bags for customers to recycle their empty inkjet cartridges and this helps to raise money for charities such as Kinderhulp, Deutschen Kinderschutzbund and Tommy's. This valuable cause gives us the opportunity to fulfil both our environmental and charitable commitments.
